In Job Timer 4 I have made a change to the resting arms break time window and when it appears. When you already have your hands off the mouse and keyboard then the resting arms window will appear and that can get annoying. In the this patch I have solved this problem by allowing Job Timer to detect if you're actually using your mouse. This will take 10 seconds of releasing your mouse. This was such a cool feature I thought I would add it to Job Timer 3.

Sometime ago I changed Job Timer 3 from 5 minute timer to a 30 day Evaluation version. The 30 day part of the program works but the timer still stopped after five minutes. This has been fixed. Please update to this newer version to receive the 30 day evaluation instead of having the clock stop every 5 minutes.

A new feature has been added. This new feature will allow you to use Job Timer as "Office Use Only". What this means is that you no longer need to put in a customer and when you select a new project Job Timer will bypass the Customer information and a little window will pop up and all you have to do is put in the Project name. This feature is great for those of you that work for a company and you need to track your time to a project. The Customer Information is irrelevant because the customer is you or your company.

Added the ability to format your entries in the reports page. By default this will be checked. This is the way that Job Timer has always worked. Go to the reports page and click on "File" then click on "Format Entries" and this will uncheck this feature. Now when you add time to your project the entries will not be formatted. This will make your entries more accurate and keep your project total close to the main Job Timer total. It may be off by 1 penny but this can't be helped since these are two different ways of calculating the time + Price giving you the total. If you have Job Timer set to read the time every 15 minutes then this feature really doesn't apply to you. If you use 1 minute billing this try this out and see if this works for you.

When trying to complete a job in the reports page Job Timer would lock up. This has been fixed in this patch but this included fixing a Database. This is not the project database but the invoice database. db2.mdb was effected in this change. This patch will overwrite this database so you will no longer get any errors. If you wish to keep the invoice information intact and not overwrite the database you can save the database by saving the database to a different part of your hard drive, update the program then copy the database over to the Job Timer directory. Now you will have to open the database in Microsoft Access and add the field "InvoiceID2" leave it "Text" and save, now you can have your old information and the database will be updated. If you don't have Microsoft Access and you would like to keep your database intact then please email me your database and I will fix it for you. If you would like the database patch only then you can download the database patch here.
Patch 3.5.17 will fix the database automatically, unfortunately it will delete any invoice information you had. All other patches after 3.5.17 will not overwrite the database and if the old database exists then you will probably get errors while running the program.

After updating to version 3.5.17 then update again to the current version, this will fix or add any other features to Job Timer 3.

Fixed the Job Timer 3 Invoice program from getting an error "Cannot find file CL.jpg".
This feature was created to let the user create their own logo on their invoice. But when I wrote the code I hard coded it to the default path and not to a path where the program might be located. This has been fixed in this patch.

1. Added a new feature called "Employee Time". This will add up your employees time and how much you charge per hour for this employee giving you a total and how much profit you made from this employee. To get to this new feature go to Timer settings and click on "Employee Time". Fill in how much you pay this employee and click on "Enable" then close this window. Now Job Timer will now track your employee's time.
2. Fixed the Recent Projects tracking. Job Timer will now track your Recent Projects better.

Added a new feature to Job Timer 3. This new feature is called "Timer Boost". Go to timer settings and click on the check box "Timer Boost" then save your settings. If Job Timer lags in keeping up with windows clock then the main timer will speed up to catch up faster. This works in conjunction with "Time Check".

Fixed an issue with Windows Vista. The Small Control Panel doesn't work with the new operating system. Check back later for an update that will fix this issue.

There is a known issue with Vista and the small control panel, if you decide to use the small control panel and open up Windows Explorer, explorer may not work correctly resulting in restarting your computer. This issue has been addressed to Microsoft and they will fix this problem.

You will download a Registration Wizard that will automatically change your registration settings to the new code. From there you will be directed to download the patch.
