3. In here you will be able to set your network path.

4. Once your network path has been set then set up all of the other computers on your network the same way.

NOTE: If you have more than one person working on the network and will be using Job Timer then
it is recommenced to leave "Allow Project Files to be included on the server" - UNCHECKED
this feature is for single users that will migrate from one computer to another on the network.

Several People on the network accessing the same project should save their own program locally on their own machine.
The database will be updated with everyone's progress.

Checking "Allow the Settings Files to be included on the server" will share Job Timer Settings throughout the network.
Some will want to use their own settings.

It's important that everyone including the server and the router be on a battery back up (UPS) therefore if the power
does go out then everyone can save their progress.
If this is not used and the power goes out then the databases will not be updated with the accumulative time.

To use different databases for each year then do the following:

db1.mdb = Project Data

db2.mdb = Invoice Data

db3.mdb = Daily Reports Data

db4.mdb = Customer Data (Important to keep intact) Never overwrite this database or replace it.

db5.mdb = Job Timer use only.

Download and install a new Database set. Click me Unzip these databases to the Unzipped Directory. Don't unzip them to the new Network Directory and then follow these instructions:

Go to Your unzipped folder (where you unzipped the new databases) and select the "SC folder" and the "db1.mdb" database and copy these two files. You will need to paste these two into your new folder that you created.

This is how your new folder should look like. The db1.mdb is the only file that should have been replaced.

Now go find your new folder in Job Timer.

Save your Directory and hit close.

Now Job Timer is set up to use your new Network Directory. Please let Job Timer try to fix itself, if it can't then you may need to restart Job Timer.

Keep your old Network directory and databases in tact, Job Timer may have to use the databases later. If they don't exist then when you try to open an older project then Job Timer will not be able to open it.

If you want to open a previous project then it will ask you if you want to use the "Default Setting" click on "No" and Job Timer will access the older database.

The Final thing to do is open your Project Data (Invoice Data) and click on: "All Projects" then click on "Tools" and "Delete all closed invoices" This will clear last years Invoices.
